Ingrid has been playing the violin since the age of 3, and started teaching young students of her own at age 15. A talented and passionate violinist, she has dedicated her life to this playing and sharing this beautiful instrument. Ingrid is a member of the Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera as well as the Sacramento Choral Society & Orchestra, and is well-versed in classical, jazz, Celtic, and contemporary styles. In addition to her classical performance schedule, she can often be found playing in local music scene with her acoustic folk band Proxy Moon and Celtic band Cahersiveen. Ingrid’s true passion is teaching and opening up horizons to the world of music through the violin. Her kind, engaging and patient personality makes it easy for children to connect. As founder and director of the non-profit organization The Sacramento Institute for Music and the Arts, she has been dedicated to bringing music education to local schools and families. |
